A panacea that makes fat disappear mysteriously? Never again dabble in the gym for a dream body? We wish! Unfortunately, we can only dream about it ... However, there are a number of foods that give you (fat) combustion and metabolism a boost, so that you at least get a bit close to your dream image ;-). Curious? Read on soon!

You can not wait to read which foods are involved. But before we talk about this, first make a comment. These products do not make up for life or the days full of junk food and do not burn all the greasy things you take. But if you follow a healthy diet, these foods can ensure that your body gets a big extra boost to burn fat! So: everything in moderation, usually eat good things, and do not expect surprising results if your daily menu consists of burgers and fries!

1. Green cabbage
Green cabbage is a super healthy vegetable. It suppresses your sense of hunger (or: it fills well), acts as a kind of detox for your body, contains a lot of iron and fiber and cleans your liver thoroughly. A cleaner body is less like fat and sugar-rich food, so you eat less of it. You can process green cabbage in stew, smoothies, in a salad with avocado, peppers and cherry tomatoes and you can make healthy chips by putting them in the oven with some olive oil.

2. Broccoli
Some types of food seem to be thick whispers. In the same way, broccoli. It stimulates certain enzymes that cause the cells in your body to burn more fat. We must have that! Broccoli is an incredibly versatile vegetable, so combine it in wok dishes, eat it raw with a humus dip or grill it with a piece of fish next to it.

3. Avocado
Huh, avocado? But do they contain a lot of fat? Yes, avocados naturally contain a lot of good fats. But these good, unsaturated fats ensure that your body is stimulated to burn fat! Your body stores less fat by eating avocados and they stimulate your metabolism by protecting the parts of your cells that produce energy from free radicals. Let's make some guacamole! You can spoon an avocado from the dish with some sea salt and pepper, make guacamole to dip vegetables and process them in smoothies and salads.

4. Brazil nuts
These nuts are actually a little too healthy, you can eat up to six a day! After all, there is a substance in what selenium is called and if too much of it is eaten, it can be counterproductive. Like avocados, nuts contain many good fats that your body needs. They feel full quickly, provide muscle building, so that the body burns more at rest, contains countless healthy nutrients and keeps your blood sugar level under control. They stimulate your metabolism and bind toxins that would otherwise lodge in fat cells and then offer more cellulite. Eat these nuts as a snack or process them in a salad.

5. Chia seed
These mini seeds are full of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, proteins and healthy fats. They are very filling because they bind a lot of moisture, stimulate your metabolism and ensure a healthy intestinal system. With these seeds you can do almost anything: process in smoothies, salads, sprinkle on your sandwich, make pudding, put in your oatmeal or yogurt or process in a homemade energy bar.

6. Salmon
Again a food that is full of good fats for your body. The omega-3 fatty acids in (wild) salmon ensure that your insulin sensitivity is increased so that especially fat that has accumulated on the belly will slowly disappear. In addition, a certain hormone is activated which speeds up your metabolism and makes you healthier. Salmon is delicious for grilling, poaching, raw or smoked to eat and can be eaten at any time of the day!

7. Cinnamon
Several studies have shown that cinnamon has an (indirect) connection with losing fat. People who ate cinnamon daily had a considerably more stable sugar level and made less insulin. Insulin is a hormone that provides fat storage in your body, and stores extra fat when your blood sugar level rises sharply. Cinnamon food thus reduces insulin production, which in turn causes your body to store less fat! So from now on add some cinnamon in your yogurt, oatmeal, smoothie or on your fruit.

8. Coffee
Of course we always knew that our indispensable cup of coffee was good for something in the morning! Coffee stimulates adrenaline in your body, causing it to burn. Drink your coffee black: milk reduces the fat-burning effect again. In addition, you also need to be careful with drinking too much coffee: this can in fact throw your insulin housekeeping into disarray, so that you get a counterproductive effect. So in moderation!

9. Chilli peppers
Substances that are naturally present in chilli (including capsaicin) support your body in burning calories and give your combustion system a big boost. So increase your metabolism by adding chili's to your food! Think of wok dishes, omelets, salads or spicy soups.

10. Lemon juice
Lemon juice also boosts your metabolism and puts your digestive system to work. This acidic fruit provides extra fat burning and helps your body with the removal of waste products. People who consume a lot of vitamin C would even burn up to 30% extra calories during a workout than people who are deficient in vitamin C! So if you wake up, drink a glass of water with lemon juice, use it in dressings and as a seasoning you can put some lemon juice through your smoothie.
